Davis Named AVCA National Freshman of the Year, Three Eagles named AVCA All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Emma Davis (East Berlin, Pa / Dover Area HS) was named AVCA National Freshman of the Year. Davis, Moira Folan (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Oakland Catholic HS), and Victoria Taylor (Middletown, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) were all named AVCA All-Americans. 

Davis was named an AVCA third team All-American and Folan and Taylor received AVCA All-America honorable mention. 

Davis appeared in 32 matches and 112 sets as a freshman. Davis was named Landmark Athlete of the Week twice this season and also landed on the Landmark All-Conference first team. More recently, Davis was named AVCA Regional Freshman of the Year and also earned AVCA All-Region honors. Davis has totaled 264 kills while hitting .289 this season. She has tallied 20 service aces, 58 digs, and 108 (27 BS, 81 BA) total blocks. 

Folan appeared in 32 matches and 105 sets. Folan was named to the Landmark All-Conference first team and earned AVCA All-Region honors. She tallied 1005 assists (9.57 A/S) and added 24 service aces and 237 digs this season. 

Taylor appeared in 32 matches and 113 sets. Taylor was named to the Landmark All-Conference first team, was named Landmark Athlete of the Week, and earned AVCA All-Region honors this season. She was most recently named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team after her performace against Va. Wesleyan and Trinity (Texas) in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Taylor was also named the Landmark Championship MVP after the team defeated Susquehanna, 3-0. This season she has totaled 362 kills (3.20 K/S) while hitting .250. Taylor has tallied 79 digs and 48 (13 BS, 35 BA) total blocks.
