LEXINGTON, KY.- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Division III Preseason Top 25 Poll on Wednesday. The Juniata women's volleyball team was picked third behind defending National Champion Cal-Lutheran and last year's runner-up Wittenberg.

The Eagles totaled 1,096 points and also received two first place votes. Juniata finished 33-3 in 2015 and lost to the Tigers 3-1 in the NCAA Regional Finals at Memorial Gymnasium. JC ranked fifth in the final AVCA poll last season.

Juniata's 2016 season begins on September 2 at the Clarkson Invitational when it plays Roger Williams and Brockport State. The Eagles' first home match will be September 9 against Christopher Newport.
