LEXINGTON, KY – Four Juniata women's volleyball players were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's 2015 All-Region Team Thursday. Juniors Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA / Greencastle-Antrim) and Kelly Reynolds (Upper Saint Clair, PA / Upper Saint Clair) received their third straight All-Region selection, sophomore Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH / Mentor) notched her second and freshman Katie Byrne (Annapolis, MD / Broadneck) picked up her first.

Byrne was also recognized as the North Region's Freshman of the Year. She is just the seventh player in Juniata history to receive AVCA Freshman of the Year honors.

Earlier this week, the group was recognized by the Landmark Conference in All-Conference selections. Gearhart, Moroney and Reynolds were named to the First Team. Byrne was selected as Rookie of the Year and named to the Second Team.

With the All-Region honors, the Eagles await the announcement of the 2015 All-America Team later this month.
