HUNTINGDON, PA – The Juniata women's volleyball team wrapped up the Wid Guisler Invitational with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-18) sweep of Geneva College Saturday night.

Before the match, the Eagles honored seniors Bryce Arnold (Shippensburg, PA / Shippensburg Area) and Kristin Collins (Freedom, PA / Ambridge)

Arnold finished the match with one service ace and six digs. Collins recorded six kills and three blocks.

Juniata was led by Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH / Mentor), Glen Brumm (Oro Valley, AZ / Canyon Del Oro) and Brittanie Tannenbaum (Highlands Ranch, CO / Highlands Ranch), who combined for 30 kills. Moroney recorded 15 kills and a .375 hitting percentage, Brumm had nine kills and a .350 percentage and Tannenbaum rounded out the group with six kills and a .333 hitting percentage.

Kelly Reynolds (Upper Saint Clair, PA / Upper Saint Clair) remained solid for the Eagles and made 41 assists, one kill, one service ace and one block.

"They just kept grinding through the match," head coach Heather Pavlik said. "There wasn't anything spectacular going on, they just worked through it. We had a few more service errors than I would've liked but I thought we served tough."

Pavlik noted that when the team needed to get out of some trouble, Brumm and Tannenbaum were ready to go with the attack.

The 3-0 sweep of the Wid Guisler Invitational concluded Juniata's play at home during the regular season. Solid performances from Reynolds and Moroney earned them a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Reynolds finished with one kill, 94 assists, one service ace, 25 digs and four block assists in eight sets. Moroney played in nine sets and recorded 26 kills, two service aces, six digs, three solo blocks and four block assists.

Juniata heads to the Emory Inviational Oct. 30-31 where they look to secure a top regional seed for the NCAA Tournament.

Preparation heading into the last weekend of the regular season is much different for Juniata than it is in the beginning.

"This time of the year it's about quality of practice over quantity," Pavlik said. "You have to keep the time shorter and the reps shorter but you have to make sure that you're getting really good stuff in that time. "

The Eagles open up competition at the Emory Invitational against Berry at 1:30pm.
