Women's Volleyball Takes Top Spot in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, MD – After winning their eighth straight Landmark Conference title last season, the Juniata women's volleyball team was selected to finish atop the Landmark once more in the 2015 Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll.

Head coach Heather Pavlik led the team to a 28-8 (7-0 Landmark) finish last season. The Eagles made their 34th appearance in the NCAA tournament for the 34th time but had their journey cut short by the eventual 2014 National Champions, Hope.

Pavlik heads into her fifth season at the head of the program and carries an overall record of 111-33. The coaching staff of Pavlik, assistant coach Casey Dale and volunteer assistant coach Steve Ankney welcome back a well-rounded group of returning players that they expect to see take on strong leadership roles for the team. They also look to see significant contributions from their incoming class of student-athletes that will help keep the team balanced and aggressive.

Juniata opens their season on the road against St. Vincent on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00pm.
