TOWSON, MD- Freshman middle hitter Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH/Mentor) was named the Landmark Conference’s Women’s Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday. It is the first such honor for Moroney this season.

Moroney helped Juniata earn a 3-0 record last weekend including two Landmark wins to clinch a spot in the conference playoffs. She averaged 3.33 kills per set and hit .444 in nine sets. The freshman middle added 11 blocks including two solo blocks against Catholic to average 1.22 per set.

For the season, Moroney is second on the Eagles in kills per set with 2.52 and blocks per set with 0.69. In total blocks, she is third overall with 29.
