Juniata Volleyball to Host Landmark Conference Championship

HUNTINGDON, PA- For the eighth straight year, Juniata women's volleyball will host the Landmark Conference Championship match. This year's championship will take place on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium. The winner will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Eagles won 3-0 (25-7, 25-22, 25-17) over Moravian on Tuesday night. Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA/Greencastle-Antrim) led the Eagles in kills with 12. Lydia Mueller (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) and Brittanie Tannenbaum (Highlands Ranch, CO/Highlands Ranch) both added eight kills each. Mar-Jana Phillips (Carson, CA/Rolling Hills Prep) added seven kills.

Kelly Reynolds (Upper Saint Clair, PA/Upper Saint Clair) totaled 37 assists, five digs, and four kills. Bryce Arnold (Shippensburg, PA/Shippensburg Area) led the team in digs with 10. Brittani Young (Columbia, PA/Hempfield Area) chipped in eight digs.

Their opponents are the Crusaders of Susquehanna University. SU defeated Scranton 3-0 on Tuesday. Susquehanna finished the regular season with a record of 29-8 and a 6-1 mark in the Landmark. Its only conference loss came at the hands of the Eagles on September 23 in Selinsgrove. It is the Crusaders' sixth appearance in the championship match with all coming against JC.
