  • Eagles Earn AVCA Team Academic Award

    LEXINGTON, KY – The 2014-15 Juniata women’s volleyball team received a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Wednesday.
  • Four Eagles Named to All-Region Team by AVCA

    LEXINGTON, KY- Four members of the Juniata College women's volleyball team were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region team, the organization announced this afternoon. Sophomore Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim), senior Amelia Kepler (Kane, Pa./Kane Area), and sophomore Kelly Reynolds (Upper Saint Clair, Upper Saint Clair) were all named to the first team. In addition, freshman Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH/Mentor) received Honorable Mention.
  • Women’s Volleyball Sweeps All-Landmark Awards

    TOWSON, MD- Juniata women’s volleyball swept the major awards in the Landmark Conference as Amelia Kepler (Kane, PA/Kane Area) was voted the Landmark Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Brittani Young (Columbia, PA/Hempfield Area) was named the Specialist of the Year and Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH/Mentor) was chosen as the Rookie of the Year. The Juniata coaching staff also repeats as the Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.
  • Gearhart Named Sports Import/AVCA National Player of the Week

    LEXINGTON, KY- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its National Player of the Week for all of Division III on Tuesday. Sophomore middle blocker Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA/Greencastle-Antrim) was tabbed with the recognition.
  • Women’s Volleyball Going to Wittenberg for NCAA Regionals

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – The NCAA selection committee released the 64-team field for the upcoming Division III women’s volleyball national championship tournament. Juniata will travel to the campus of Wittenberg College in Springfield, OH for the regionals this Thursday through Saturday Nov. 13-15. The No. 10 Eagles earned their eighth consecutive Landmark Conference title last weekend and will be making their 34th NCAA Tournament appearance.

    HUNTINGDON, PA- With its win in the Landmark Conference Championship match on Saturday, the women’s volleyball team earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Eagles will be making their 34th trip to the championship tournament.
  • Women’s Volleyball Defeats Susquehanna to Claim Landmark Championship

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The women’s volleyball team had to grind it out but in the end came out victorious as it defeated Susquehanna 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 27-25) on Saturday night in the Landmark Conference Championship match at a loud Memorial Gymnasium. It is the Eagles’ eighth straight Landmark championship and in the process Juniata earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

    HUNTINGDON, PA- For the eighth straight year, Juniata women’s volleyball will host the Landmark Conference Championship match. This year’s championship will take place on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium. The winner will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
  • Women’s Volleyball Ousts Moravian in Landmark Semifinals

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The Juniata women’s volleyball team hosted Moravian in the Landmark Conference Tournament semifinals on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles had a season high hitting percentage of .446 as they handled the Greyhounds 3-0 (25-7, 25-22, 25-17).

    TOWSON, MD- Sophomore middle hitter Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA/Greencastle-Antrim) was named the Landmark Conference Women’s Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is her first honor of the season and of her career.
  • Volleyball Ends Regular Season On a High Note

    MOUNT UNION, OH- The #11 ranked women’s volleyball team traveled to Alliance, OH to compete in the Mount Union Tri-Match on Saturday. The Eagles ended their regular season with two victories as they won 3-1 (25-13, 26-24, 20-25, 25-12) over Otterbein and scored a come from behind upset against the #7 Purple Raiders 3-2 (12-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-17, 19-17). The wins improve Juniata’s record to 25-7 overall.
  • Women’s Volleyball Sweeps on Final Day of Wid Guisler Invitational

    HUNTINGDON, PA- #10 Juniata women’s volleyball claimed wins in both of its matches on Saturday at the Wid Guisler Invitational. The Eagles defeated Carnegie Mellon 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-22) and Stevenson 3-1 (28-26, 18-25, 25-20, 25-19). The two wins improve the Eagles’ record to 23-7 overall.
  • Juniata Denied by Eastern at Wid Guisler Invitational

    HUNTINGDON, PA- Women’s volleyball faced a tough opponent in #17 Eastern University. The two teams were tied 1-1 after two sets but the visitors came back to take the next two to win 3-1 (27-25, 18-25, 28-26, 25-20) on Friday night at the Wid Guidler Invitational.

    HUNTINGDON, PA – Juniata women’s volleyball hosted Clarion University of Division II on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. Both teams played close sets but it was the Golden Eagles who came out on top, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-17).

    KINGS POINT, NY- The women’s volleyball team competed in the final weekend of Landmark play. The Eagles dropped only one set on the day as it defeated the host Mariners 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-10) and Scranton 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 18-25, 25-19).
  • Juniata Defeats Geneva 3-0 in Women’s Volleyball

    BEAVER FALLS, PA- Looking to end a three match winless streak, the Juniata women’s volleyball team did just that as it won 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-23) over Geneva College on Wednesday night. The win improves the Eagles’ record to 19-5 overall while the Golden Tornadoes drop to 18-7.
  • #9 Elmhurst Outlasts #6 Juniata Women’s Volleyball 3-1

    ELMHURST, IL- The Juniata women’s volleyball wrapped up competition at the Elmhurst Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays proved to be too much for the Eagles as they won 3-1 (25-15, 25-22, 17-25, 25-19). Juniata is now 18-5 on the season while Elmhurst improves to 24-4.

    ELMHURST, IL- Juniata women’s volleyball played St. Thomas (MN) in the first match of the night of the Elmhurst Invitational on Friday. The Tommies prevailed 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-19).

    DANBURY, CT- A day after receiving Landmark Conference recognition, freshman middle hitter Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH/Mentor) earned another accolade. Moroney was named the Corvias ECAC Division III South Player of the Week.

    TOWSON, MD- Freshman middle hitter Megan Moroney (Mentor, OH/Mentor) was named the Landmark Conference’s Women’s Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday. It is the first such honor for Moroney this season.
  • Women’s Volleyball Takes Two Matches in Landmark Competition

    TOWSON, MD- The #8 Juniata women’s volleyball team stayed perfect in Landmark play as the Eagles defeated Catholic and Goucher on the second weekend of conference competition. The Eagles improve their overall record to 18-2 and are 4-0 in the Landmark.

    FREDERICKSBURG, VA- Juniata women’s volleyball played Mary Washington on Friday night in non-conference play. The Eagles took the match 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) to improve to 16-2 on the season.

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The #8 Juniata women’s volleyball team hosted the first weekend of Landmark Conference competition on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles picked up a pair of 3-0 wins to improve to 15-2 overall and 3-0 in the Landmark.
  • Women’s Volleyball Outlasts Susquehanna in Landmark Opener

    SELINSGROVE, PA- The #8 Juniata women’s volleyball team traveled to Susquehanna for a weeknight matchup with the Crusaders in the first Landmark conference match for both teams. After dropping the first set, the Eagles recovered to take the next three to win 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-19) on Tuesday night at Houts Gymnasium.
  • Women’s Volleyball Closes Out ASICS Invitational With a Sweep

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The Juniata women’s volleyball hosted two matches on the final day of competition at the ASICS Invitational. The Eagles defeated Franklin and Marshall 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 26-24) and SUNY Cortland 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-12) to move to 12-2 on the season.

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The Juniata women’s volleyball team kicked off the 22nd annual ASICS Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Eagles hosted Salisbury University in the first match and came away with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-16) victory.

    HUNTINGDON, PA – The No. 6 Juniata College women’s volleyball team will host the annual ASICS Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Five teams will face off in a series of nine matches at Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. Along with host Juniata, Salisbury, Franklin & Marshall College, Christopher Newport, and SUNY Cortland will compete this weekend.

    SPRINGFIELD, OH- The women’s volleyball team looked to stay perfect when it played #5 Cal-Lutheran at the Wittenberg Fall Classic. The Eagles fell from the ranks of the unbeaten as the Regals won 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17). Juniata rebounded in the second match of the day as it rallied to knock off the #9 host Tigers 3-2 (25-23, 29-31, 16-25, 25-21, 15-13).
  • Women’s Volleyball Defeats Ohio Northern at Wittenberg Fall Classic

    SPRINGFIELD, OH- The #8 Juniata women’s volleyball team traveled to Ohio to compete in the Wittenberg Fall Classic on Friday night. The Eagles defeated Ohio Northern 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-21).
