No. 24 Eagles Take No. 1 Washington (Mo.) to Four, Fall 3-1

 

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – No. 24 Juniata women's volleyball took No. 1 Washington (Mo.) to four games Friday night before falling 3-1 (19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20) at the Washington Halloween Invitational.  The Eagles (20-11) have faced three ranked opponents in the past four matches.  Washington improved to 26-2 with the win.

Senior Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) and junior Sarah McCarthy (Villa Park, Ill./Willowbrook) finished the night with double-doubles.  This was Fuller's 11th double-double of the season and she did it with a team-high in kills (13) and digs (13).  McCarthy picked up her 12th double-double of the year with 37 assists and 11 digs.

Juniata continues play at the Invite tomorrow, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m.  They face Alverno before taking on St. Ambrose at 2 p.m.  Eagle fans can watch the action happen by clicking the video link on Juniatasports.net.
