HUNTINGDON, Pa. – No. 21 Juniata women's volleyball hit .319 as a team in their 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-19) win over Heidelberg University Saturday morning in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. The Eagles (20-9) are now 1-1 in the Wid Guisler Invitational.
Heidelberg dropped to 16-9 with the loss.
Senior Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) coupled her match-high 11 kills with six digs. Sophomore Amelia Kepler (Kane, Pa./Kane Area) was the only other Eagle in double digits for kills with 10. And sophomore libero Brittani Young (Columbia, Pa./Helpfield Area) finished with a match-high 17 digs.
Juniata hit .378 in the final game of the match and will need to keep their offense up as they face No. 23 Eastern University at 5 p.m. tonight to close out the Wid Guilser Invitation. Fans can watch the game live or follow live stats at www.juniatasports.net.
