HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women's volleyball held onto its no. 12 national ranking in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Coaches Top 25 poll, released Tuesday.
Only two teams moved among the top 15 in the poll. Wittenberg University dropped from fourth to sixth, while Cal Lutheran slipped one spot down to no. 15.
Calvin, Emory, and Washington-St. Louis held onto the top three spots in the poll, while Eastern moved up to no. 4 and Heidelberg edged up to no. 5. Wittenberg, Southwestern (Texas), Christopher Newport, Concordia (Minn.), and Carthage rounded out the top ten. St. Thomas (Minn.) placed just ahead of Juniata, checking in no. 11.
Juniata (21-6) closes out the 2011 regular season at this weekend's Emory National Invitational, where the Eagles are scheduled to face the Heidelberg and Washington & Lee, in addition to the host squad from Emory.
