TOWSON, Md.- Juniata track and field athlete Olivia Barbacci has been named Landmark Athlete of the Week for Field Events for the second time this season following a pair of event wins and the setting of the new Juniata program record for the pole vault.
Barbacci competed in the pole vault and high jump at this weekend's Susquehanna Tuneup ahead of the Landmark Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.
In the pole vault, she set a new personal record of 3.30 meters to win the event, breaking her previous best mark of 3.18, which was already Juniata's program record.
In the high jump, she cleared 1.54 meters to tie for first place in the event, winning a high jump event for the fourth time this year.
The Juniata women's track and field team is set to compete at the Landmark Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at Susquehanna University this Saturday, February 24th.
