Women's Indoor Track and Field Selected Fifth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's indoor track & field team was selected fifth in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Juniata finished four points behind Scranton while Susquehanna is third with 34 points, and Elizabethtown is second with 45 points and one first place vote. Moravian sits on top with 60 points and six first place votes. 

The Eagles return one of the four Landmark All-Conference second teamers from the Juniata second place distance medley relay from last season.  Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff HS) assisted the team to a 12:55.63 second place finish. Other top returners for the Eagles include, senior Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) and junior Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Upper Dauphin). Kalil took fourth in the 5000m and seventh in the 3000m last indoor season while Walshaw-Wertz placed fourth in the 60m hurdles, eighth in the long jump, and 11th in the triple jump. Juniata brings in freshman thrower, Lauren Hahn (Doylestown, Pa, / CB West)
