Orndorf Named Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's track & field standout, Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) has been named the Landmark's Women's Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete. 

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, and sports information directors. They are chosen at the end of each sport season. 

Recently, Orndorf was named to the USTFCCCA All-Region team. She also earned Landmark Field Athlete of the Year, Landmark All-Conference first and second team, was named Landmark Athlete of the Week, and received Landmark Academic Honor Roll this season. 

At Landmark Championships, Orndorf took home first in the javelin throwing 41.35m, second in the hammer throwing 38.60m, fourth in the shotput throwing 10.72m, and fifth in the discus throwing 32.99m. 

This season, Orndorf broke the Juniata record in the hammer at the Jim Taylor Invite hosted by Susquehanna with a throw of 39.41m. Orndorf sits in the third spot in the javelin (41.35m) and fifth in the shotput (10.71m) in the Juniata top-5 record book. 

Academically, Orndorf has a 3.86 cumulative GPA and has appeared on the Landmark Academic Honor Roll three times. Her P.O.E. is Environmental Science and General Science Secondary Ed.
