Orndorf Named Landmark Field Athlete of the Year, Five Eagles Named to Landmark All-Conference Team

TOWSON, Md.- Senior, Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) was named Landmark Field Athlete of the Year and also landed herself on the Landmark All-Conference team. Teammates, Faith Nichols (Verona, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice), Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS), Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Upper Dauphin), and Saraly Gonzalez (Stratford, N.J. / Sterling) were also named to the All-Conference team.

To go along with Landmark Field Athelte of the Year honors, Orndorf was also named to the All-Conference first and second team for her performance at Landmark Conference Championships. Orndorf won the javelin with a throw of 41.35m to earn a spot on the All-Conference first team and took second in the hammer throw with a throw of 38.60m to land on the All-Conference second team. Over the weekend, Orndorf also placed fourth in the shot put (10.72m) and fifth in the discus (32.99m). Orndorf is the second Eagle to take home Field Athlete of the Year honors, joining Alissa Sellers (2016). Orndorf's javelin currently ranks 17th in the nation. 

Nichols was named to the All-Conference first team for her performance in 400m dash. Nichols earned first with a time of 1:00.21. 

Kalil was named to the All-Conference first team for her first place finish in the 10,000m. Kalil finished with a time of 38:43.71. Kalil was also named to the All-Confernce second for her finish in the 3000m steeplechase, she finished with a time of 11:22.13. 

Walshaw-Wertz was named to the All-Conference second team for her finish in the 100m hurdles. Walshaw-Wertz placed second with a time of 16.05. 

Gonzalez was named to the All-Conference second team for her performance in the javelin. Gonzalez took second with a throw of 38.16m.
