Women's Track and Field Runs at Paul Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata women's track & field team competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University.

In the 3000m, Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) took second coming in with a time of 10:45.08 while Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y. / Milton Hershey) finished behind her with a time of 11:04.77. Abbie Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) finished eighth (11:49.34), Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.)) finished 10th (11:59.18), Alli Goulden (Wharton, N.J. / Morris Knolls) finished 11th (12:03.37), and Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset Area HS) finished 17th (12:58.18) in the 3000m. 

In the 5000m run, Alexis Barge (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) placed 12th coming in with a time of 21:16.20. In the 110m hurdles, Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Upper Dauphin) finished 19th with a time of 16.69. In the 100m, Sabrina Kelly (Gilberstville, Pa. / Boyertown Area HS) finished 52nd (14.64) while Holly Caldwell (Milford, Conn. / Jonathan Law) finished 55th (14.74). The Eagles placed 12th in the 4x100m relay with a time of 53.88. Juniata took fourth in the 4x400m relay finishing with a time of 4:20.81. 

In the 1500m, Grace Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) took 17th coming in with a time of 5:12.21 and Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) finished 19th with a time of 5:15.88. In the 800m, Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff HS) finished 30th (2:33.81), Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Bridgeport Central HS) finished 50th (2:43.53), and Lydia Heishman (Keezletown, Pa. / Spotswood High) finished 64th (2:55.52). In the 400m hurdles, Caitlyn Gasmen (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater-Raritan) finished 20th crossing the line at 1:15.64. 

In the 200m, Faith Nichols (Verona, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice) finished 27th coming in with a time of 27.69 while Kelly finished 65th with a time of 31.92 and Caldwell finished 67th with a time of 32.08. 

Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) placed fourth in the javelin marking 36.66m. In the triple jump, Walshaw-Wertz placed 20th marking 9.65m. In the discus, Orndorf placed 21st marking 29.83m while Marylauren Davignon (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) placed 35th marking 18.57m. In the shot put, Orndorf placed 23rd marking 10.54m and Davignon placed 39th marking 8.28m. Orndorf placed 24th in the hammer throw marking 35.41m. In the long jump, Walshaw-Wertz placed 18th marking 4.97m. 

Juniata finishes up the regular season next weekend in the Landmark Championships hosted by Goucher.
