Eagles Compete at 20th Annual Bison Open

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Juniata women's track & field team competed at Bucknell Bison Open this weekend.

In the 500m run, Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff HS) placed 12th coming in with a time of 1:26.35 and Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) finished 13th with a time of 1:26.45. Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y. / Milton Hershey) finished 21st in the 800m run while teammate Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.)) finished 27th. In the 60m dash, Holly Caldwell (Milford, Conn. / Jonathan Law) came in with a time of 9.25. In the 400m dash, Faith Nichols (Verona, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice) finished 32nd with a time of 1:07.18 while Grace Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) finished right behind her with a time of 1:07.56. 

In the 1000m run, Alexander took tenth place clocking in at 3:29.11. Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) finished 11th in the 3000m run with a time of 10:54.15. The team of Stewart, Saraly Gonzalez (Stratford, N.J. / Sterling), Nichols, and Freimuth clocked in at 4:34.50 in the 4x400m relay. 

In the field, Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) placed 21st in the weight throw, marking 12.97m.

The Eagles will travel to Susquehanna on February 2nd to compete in the S.U. Challenge.
