Women's Track and Field Takes on Paul Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Eagles competed at the Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic this weekend.

Yanibel Collado (Freeport, NY/Forest Hills) was the top finisher for the women's track and field team in the 3000-meter race, running a time of 10:33.14 to place 1st. Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass./Methuen HS) followed in 6th place (11:40.34).

Claudia Sacks (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) placed 4th in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:50.87. In the 200-meter race, Faith Nichols (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) ran a time of 27.23 to finish 29th.

Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) ran a time of 1:04.23 in the 400-meter race for a 25th place finish. Stewart was followed by Julia Freimuth (York, Pa./Cedar Cliff) in 29th place (1:05.71) and Chelsea Chizmar (Johnstown, Pa./Forest Hills) in 32nd place (1:08.04).
 
In the field, Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa./Penns Valley) placed 6th in javelin with a throw that measures 36.9m. Suzy Badorf-England's (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg High) throw measured 32.73m. Orndorf also placed 22nd in the shot put event (10.13m).
Ashley Waterman (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) had an 18th place finish in the hammer with a throw of 34.03m. In discus, Kaitlyn Young (Mount Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) threw 28.12m to place 20th with Kelly Leamer (Altoona, Pa./Bellwood) just behind in 24th place (26.43m).
 
Juniata will compete at the Landmark Championships next weekend at Moravian.
