Landmark Pegs Juniata Fourth in the Preseason Poll

Towson, Md. - The Landmark Conference placed Juniata's women's track and field team fourth in the conference preseason poll, released Thursday, Dec. 8.

The Moravian Greyhounds received 50 points and five first place votes, putting them at the top of the poll. Elizabethtown, 36 points and one first place vote, and Susquehanna, 31 points, followed in second and third.

The Eagles tallied 20 points in the poll and sit above Catholic and Goucher.

At the River Hawks Opener at Susquehanna on Saturday, Dec. 3, Kylie Orndorf, Ashley Waterman, Marylauren Davignon and Katie Fisher were some of the Eagles' top finishers in their respective events. Orndorf placed 10th in the weight throw with a 9.46-meter throw and 22nd in shot put. Senior Katelyn Fisher tied for fifth place in the high jump, as she recorded a 1.43-meter jump.

After the holiday break, Juniata will be competing in the Orange & Maroon Classic at Susquehanna on Saturday, Jan. 21.
