BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Juniata women's track and field team competed at Moravian College on both Friday and Saturday. Sophomore Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa. / Northern Cambria) was the top finisher for the women's team in Saturday's events, taking 5^th in the 3000m steeplechase event. Kopera finished with a time of 12:09.51.

In the 1500m, freshman Yanibel Collado (Freeport, NY / Forest Hills) placed 36^th with a time of 5:08.76. Freshman Allison Goulden (Wharton, NJ / Morris Krolls) finished the race in 56^th place.

Senior Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa. / Olley Valley) finished 41^st in the 800m, with a time of 2:28.96. Freshman Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) followed in 51^st place.

Erin Gaines (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) placed 35^th in the 400m hurdles, running a time of 1:13.46 with freshman Caitlyn Gasmen (Bridgewater, NJ / Bridgewater-Raritan) followed in 40^th place with a time of 1:15.69. Gaines also placed 52^nd in the 100m hurdles.

In javelin, freshman Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) placed 13^th, reaching a distance of 34.91m. Senior Sarah Rhodes (Bloomfield, NY / Boomfield) placed 26^th in the shot put event, throwing a distance of 10.32m. Orndorf followed in 32^nd place.

Orndorf also placed 24^th in discus, reaching 30.43m. Fellow freshman Christen Cooper (Chester, NJ / West Morris Central) followed in 25^th place with Kaitlin Young (Mount Ephraim, NJ / Audubon) in 30^th.  In the hammer event, Rhodes placed 26^th with a throw measuring 33.46m and Cooper placed 27^th, reaching a distance of 32.96m.

In the long jump, senior Alissa Sellers (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) placed 31^st, jumping a distance of 4.68m. Junior Katy Leamer (Altoona, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) followed in 44^th place.

The women's team will compete next Wednesday, April 20, at Shippensburg University.
