LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Juniata women's track team finished up day two of the Bison Open at Bucknell University Saturday, led by a record-setting performance from Yanibel Collado (Freeport, NY / Forest Hills).
Collado finished ninth in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:18.30. Behind Collado was fellow freshman, Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield), finishing 13th with a time of 3:24.53. Stewart's time ranks fifth all-time at Juniata in the 1000m.
Collado also finished 30th in the 1 mile run, running a time of 5:38.71.
Jecenia Duran (Temple, PA / Olley Valley) took 13th in the 500-meter run at 1:29.37. Duran's time ranks fourth in Juniata's all-time records.
Katie Fisher (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) finished 12th in the high jump event, clearing a height of 1.49m.
The Eagles return to action Sat., Feb. 6 at the Crusader Challenge at Susquehanna University.
