Selinsgrove, Pa. – In their first meet of 2016, the Juniata women's indoor track and field team had several athletes finish in the top-10 at the Susquehanna Indoor Orange and Maroon Classic.
Kylie Orndorf placed seventh in shot put, reaching a distance of 9.68m. Senior Alissa Sellers (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) placed fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.59m. Katie Fisher (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) placed sixth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.47m.
Sellers, Faith Nichols (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice), Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa. / Olley Valley), and Caitlyn Gasman (Bridgewater, NJ / Bridgewater-Raritan) placed second in their heat of the 4x200 meter relay, finishing with a time of 1:57.55. Duran and Meaghen Stewart(Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) placed third and fourth respectively in their heat of the 800 meter race.
The Eagles will return to action next weekend at the Bison Open at Bucknell University.
