Track & Field Competes At Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa., Juniata College's men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Susquehanna Invite this weekend. Members from both teams placed in the top-25 in several events.

 

Connor Dimond (Summerhill, PA / Forest Hills) and Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, PA / Parkland) placed 6th and 10th in the men's 1-mile run. Chelsey Beaver (Shamokin Dam, PA / Selinsgrove area) came in 24th in the women's weight toss. Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, PA / Waynesboro) and Garrett  LaVelle (Eden, NY / Eden Jr./Sr. High) placed 14th and 22nd in the men's event. Beaver was also 18th in the shot put.

 

Katelyn Fisher (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) was in the top-20 in the women's long and high jump. Nathan Chavis (Palmyra, PA / Palmyra) finished in the top-20 in the high jump and just missed it at 21 in the triple jump. The team finished 6th in the distance medley and 8th in the men's. The men were 7th in the 4x200m relay. The women were 14th in the event. Trenton Barnes (Hopewell, PA / Northern Bedford) was among the top-20 in the 60m dash.
