SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Juniata College women's track & field team hit the road to compete at the Susquehanna University Crusader Classic Saturday. Senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) claimed the Eagles only victory on the day, winning the 5000 meter run.

Woods crossed the line in 18:34.48, over a minute in front of her nearest competitor and just over a second off the Landmark and program record she set in the 5000 last year. Junior Courtney Peterson (York, Pa./Central York) finished ninth overall in the event.

Senior Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) placed ninth overall in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.70 to put herself as the second best performer in school history in the event.

In the field, sophomore Alissa Sellers (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) placed 12th in the long jump with a mark of 4.63m and freshman Katelyn Fisher (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) recorded a mark of 4.59m to place 14th overall. Sellers also came in 15th in the triple jump while Fisher finished eighth overall in the high jump. In the shot put, junior Chelsey Beaver (Shamokin Dam, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) placed 12th with a season best mark of 10.79m.

The Eagles will return to Susquehanna University next Saturday, Feb. 16 to compete in the Susquehanna Invitational.
