LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Juniata College women's track & field team competed in the Bison Open at Bucknell University Friday and Saturday. Senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) placed fifth overall in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:23.06. This time broke her own school record and the Landmark Conference record of 10:23.90, which she set last year at the Bucknell Winter Classic. Her time also automatically qualified her for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.

In the 1000 meter run, junior Alyssa Cousins (Lemont, Pa./State College Area) crossed the line in a career-best time of 3:23.40, putting her among the top five all-time in the event. Senior Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) bettered her time in the 300 meter dash. She placed 15th in 1:02.24.

In the high jump, freshman Katelyn Fisher (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) recorded a personal-best jump of 1.54m to place sixth overall.

The Eagles next travel to Selinsgrove, Pa. Saturday, Feb. 8 to compete in the Crusader Classic.
