HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's tennis team opened up their season with a, 6-3 win over Goucher.
Emily Dowler (Rochester, N.Y. / Brighton) and Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) fell, 8-3 at first doubles. Kady Lohr (Shanksville, Pa. / -) and Emily Sarro (Woodside, Pa. / Dallastown) won, 8-3 at second doubles and Emma Kramer (Chalfont, Pa. / Pennridge) and Marilyn Ogof won by defult at third doubles. After the doubles matches, the Eagles led, 2-1.
Dowler fell, 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, Mahigel won, 6-0, 6-2 at second singles, and Lohr won, 6-3, 6-0 at third singles. Ogof fell, 6-3, 6-2 at fourth singles, Sarro won at fifth singles, and Kramer won at sixth singles.
Juniata returns to the court on April 3rd at Catholic. The match is set to start at 12:00 PM.
