Women's Tennis Falls to Rutgers-Camden in First Match of the Season

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's tennis team fell, 9-0 to Rutgers-Camden, Sunday afternoon.

Emily Dowler (Rochester, N.Y. / Brighton) fell, 6-4, 6-1 at first singles, Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) fell, 6-3, 6-3 at second singles, and Kelley Appow (Freehold, N.J. / Freehold Township) fell, 6-2, 6-1 at third singles. Kady Lohr (Shanksville, Pa. / -) fell, 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles, Emma Kramer (Chalfont, Pa. / Pennridge) fell, 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles, and Emily Sarro (York, Pa. / Dallastown) fell, 6-2, 6-4 at sixth singles. 

Dowler and Mahigel lost, 8-4 at first doubles, Appow and Lohr fell, 8-2 at second doubles, and Kramer and Mary Fairfield (Harrisonburg, Va. / Eastern Mennonite HS) fell, 8-1 at third doubles. 

Juniata travels to Penn St.-Altoona, September 24th. Match time is set for 5:00 pm.
