Women's Tennis Selected Sixth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's tennis team was selected sixth in this year's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Scranton takes the top spot in the preseason poll as they are seated first with 68 points, behind them is Moravian (54), Catholic (48), Elizabethtown (35), and Drew (23).

Last season the women finished fifth in the conference with a 3-4 Landmark record. The Eagles have seven upperclassmen and two freshmen on the team this year. Savannah Bailey (Rockville, Md. / Richard Montgomery), Vienna Cordier (Medford, N.J. / Shawnee), and Theresa Joson (Bowmansville, Pa. / Garden Spot) represent the senior class. Kelley Appow (Freehold, N.J. / Freehold Township) and Emily Dowler (Rochester, N.Y. / Brighton) round out the juniors. The sophomore class is represented by Emma Kramer and Grace Lewis (Northampton, Pa. / Northampton Area HS) while Kady Lohr and Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) round out the freshmen class. 

The Eagles will start off their spring season, February 22nd at Mt. Aloysius at 5:00PM.
