HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata College women's tennis team swept Mt. Aloysius, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon.
Lauren Lucas (Hollidaysburg, Pa./ Altoona Area HS) and Katharine Conklin (Freehold, NJ/ Freehold Township) won 8-2 at first doubles. Anjali Mistry (Mount Holly, NJ./ Rancocas) and Savannah Bailey (Rockville, Md./ Richard Montgomery) won 8-6 at second doubles. Grace Lewis (Northampton, Pa./ Northampton Area HS) and Jana Wegener (Lower Saxon / Germany) won 8-6 at third doubles.
Lucas won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Conklin won 6-1, 6-3 at second singles, and Mistry won 6-0, 6-1 won at third singles. Bailey won 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles, Franziska Stoffel (Bad Berleburg/Germany) won 6-1, 6-2 at fifth singles, and Kelley Appow (Freehold, N.J. / Freehold Township) won 6-1,6-1 at sixth singles.
The Eagles don't play again until Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1:00 for their spring season. They will play at home against Catholic.
