HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata College women's tennis team won 8-1 at home, Friday afternoon.
Lauren Lucas (Holidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area HS) and Katharine Conklin (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Township) won 8-0 at first doubles. Anjali Mistry (Mount Holly, N.J./Rancocas) and Savannah Bailey (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) won 8-4 at second doubles and Grace Lewis (Northhampton, Pa./ Northampton Area HS) and Emily Dowler (Rochester, N.Y./ Brighton) won 8-4 at third doubles.
Lucas won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles; Conklin won 6-1, 6-2 at second singles; Mistry won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles; Bailey won 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles; and Kelley Appow (Freehold, N.J./ Freehold Township) won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles.
The Eagles return to action tomorrow at Albright at 4:30.
