Landmark All-Decade Team: Women’s Tennis

HUNTINGDON, Pa. Earlier this week, the Landmark Conference announced its All-Decade Team in Women's Tennis. The Eagles were represented by current sophomore Lauren Lucas and the doubles duo of former players Megan Phillips and Heather Waring.

 

Lucas was named the Landmark Player and Rookie of the Year in 2016 and the first Juniata women's tennis player to be named both in the Landmark. She helped lead Juniata to the Landmark Championship match for the first time in the program's history last season.  Prior to this year, Lucas had a 9-1 record in the conference.

 

Phillips and Waring were named to the Landmark Doubles First Team in 2013 and 2014. Phillips won 45 doubles matches over her career as an Eagle, including 13 in conference action. She was named to the conference Academic Honor Roll in each of her three eligible semesters. Waring won 49 doubles matches over her career as an Eagle, including 16 in conference action. She was named to the conference Academic Honor Roll in each of her three eligible semesters.
