LANCASTER, Pa.- A total of four singles matches went to a super tiebreaker as the Juniata women's tennis team battled with Franklin and Marshall on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles were able to take only one as they fell by the score of 7-2.

The Diplomats took all three doubles matches. Lauren Lucas (Holidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area HS) and Sam Hendricks (McVeytown, Pa./Mifflin County) needed an extra point to decide a winner and it went to the pair of Allysan Breece and Gavriel Rubenstein as they took second doubles 9-7.

Lucas saw her seven-match winning streak come to an end as she was defeated by Tara Buchney 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 at first singles. Rachel Yurchisin's (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) second singles match also went to a super tiebreaker as Sarah Haas held her off with a 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 victory.
