Yurchisin and Waring Receive Landmark All-Conference Honors

TOWSON, MD – After finishing the regular season with a 12-6 overall record, sophomore Rachel Yurchisin (Cleveland, OH / Padua Franciscan) and senior Heather Waring (San Antonio, TX / John Jay) were honored with 2015 Landmark All-Conference Teams selections.

The pair was selected for the Landmark’s Second Team in doubles. Yurchisin and Waring were the primary No. 1 doubles team for Juniata this season. They had a 10-9 overall record and went 4-3 in conference play in the regular season. The duo totaled over 100 points against their opponents, always making sure that their opponents had to bring their best to the court if they wanted the point. 

Waring has been selected to a Landmark All-Conference doubles team each of her four years at Juniata. 

Waring was also selected to the Second Team in singles play. Waring played No. 1 Singles for Juniata all season. She set a Landmark record with 48 career doubles victories this season with the 8-0 win over Stevenson. Waring finished the regular season with a 6-13 overall record. This is the second time she has been selected to the Landmark All-Conferece Team for singles play.
