HUNTINGDON, Pa., Samantha Hendricks (McVeytown, PA / Mifflin County) was one of several players announced as Landmark Athletes of the Week for February 16-22. Each week, the conference selects players of the week for their respective sport based on performance.
Hendricks went 3-1 for the Eagles during a pair of team matches over the weekend. She earned Juniata's loan victory against Salisbury on Friday night with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph from the No. 6 singles position. The sophomore picked up another singles win against Bridgewater (Va.) the following afternoon. She teamed with Mitsuki Koh at No. 3 doubles for an 8-4 decision as well. Juniata went on win the match against the Eagles by a 6-3 final score.
Women's tennis is 2-1 on the season and will return to action on Monday, March 9th versus Baldwin Wallace in their first match during their annual trip to South Carolina. The match will begin at 8 a.m.
