Women's Tennis Competes at Oberlin Invite

OBERLIN, OH. Juniata College’s women’s tennis team participated in the Oberlin Invitational this weekend. The doubles team played Saturday with Samantha Hendricks (McVeytown, PA/Mifflin County) and Emma Sebastian (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) defeating a pair of Fighting Scots from Wooster College 8-6 for the Eagles only victory on the day.

 

Katharine Conklin (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) and Heather Waring (San Antonio, TX/John Jay) nearly defeated a duo from Otterbein in Juniata’s first match, losing 8-6 and later fell to a twosome from Allegheny 8-3.  Mitsuki Koh (Cupertino, CA/Monta Vista) and Rachel Yurchisin (Cleveland, OH/Padua Franciscan) were defeated by teams from Wooster and John Carroll University.

 

The Eagles continue play tomorrow as the tournament’s singles matches will be held.
