SKILLMAN, N.J – The Juniata College women's tennis team earned six Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014 season, the organization announced this afternoon. Rising seniors Charlotte Caddick (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) and Heather Waring (San Antonio, Tx. / John Jay) are earning the honor for the third year in a row, with rising junior Mitsuki Koh (Cupertino, Calif. / Monta Vista) earning her second, while rising juniors Tori Gray (York, Pa. / Central York) and Jacklyn Renninger (Manheim, Pa. / Manheim Central) along with freshman Samantha Hendricks (McVeytown, Pa. / Mifflin County) claim their first of the accolade.

To qualify for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.

The 2014 Juniata women's tennis team finished the team with an overall 11-6 record and qualified for the teams' second consecutive Landmark Conference tournament. Waring earned First-Team All-Landmark honors in double play, with her partner recent graduate Megan Phillips (Jefferson Hills, Pa. / Thomas Jefferson), and second-team all-conference honors for her play from the No. 1 singles position. Gray and Koh teamed up chiefly at the No. 2 doubles position and posted a 13-9 overall record.

Renninger posted a 13-6 singles and 14-3 doubles record on the year while Hendricks won all three of her singles matches in her debut collegiate season and Caddick posted an 8-1 win with doubles partner Devin Ryman (Kingston, Pa. / Wyoming Valley West) against Penn State-Altoona.
