Owings Mill, Md. – After a tough 7-2 loss against Goucher, the Juniata College women's tennis team rebounded with a 9-0 sweep against Stevenson University before coming up short against the Salisbury Seagulls. The split pushed the Eagles to 8-3 and helped them inch closer to tying their best record in the last four years.

In their first matchup, against the Mustangs, the Eagles were impressive in a 9-0 victory.  Juniata did not drop a single contest and were paced by sophomore Heather Waring, (San Antonio, Texas / John Jay) who won 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Jacklyn Renniger (Manheim, Pa. / Manheim Central) was also solid for the Eagles. Renniger was able to grind out a hard earned win after dropping the first set 4-6. Juniata was able to snap the Mustangs' two game win streak.

Against the Seagulls, the Eagles could not quite capture the same momentum. Juniata dropped the second match by a score of 9-0 and struggled in both singles and doubles competition. However, the split pushed the Eagles to 8-3 and helped them inch closer to tying their best record in the last four years.

The Eagles will now travel to face the Warriors of Lycoming in their next match on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 3:30 PM.
