HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Juniata College women's tennis improved to 4-0 overall after the Eagles defeated Alfred University 9-0 Monday afternoon.  This is the second time this season Juniata has swept an opponent across the board.  The last time was against Lancaster Bible College in the first dual match of the season back on Sept. 8, 2012.

Sophomore Cara Stough (Friendsville, Md./Northern Garrett) won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 position, marking her best performance this season.  Her win secured the Eagles victory after three matches had already concluded.  Freshman Jacklyn Renninger (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) also had a career day at No. 3, defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-0.

Juniata will look to extend its win streak to five on Tuesday, March 12 when they face Messiah at 12:30 p.m.  The men also take on Messiah at the same time.
