Eagles Split Tri-Meet with Moravian and Franciscan on Senior Day

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata women's swimming team celebrated their seniors prior to a tri-meet against Moravian and Franciscan. Emma Mumau, Megan McConnell, Kara Mette, and Kristen Miller were honored by their team before the beginning of the meet. 

The Eagles took the victory against Moravian with 146-42, while Franciscan clinched a win versus Juniata 152-97. 

The Eagles placed second in the 400-meter medley relay and the 200-meter freestyle relay. Kristen Miller, Manali Misra, Kara Mette, and Grace Finch competed in the 400-meter medley relay with a time of 5:21.30. In the 200-meter freestyle relay, Finch, Maegan Jordan, Amanda Puza, and Miller logged a time of 2:10.00.

Jordan competed in the 800-meter freestyle, finishing first with a time of 11:03.61.

In the 200-meter freestyle, Miller and Puza finished second and fourth with times of 2:32.88 and 2:49.39, respectively. 

Mette, McConnell, and Snabu Neupane competed in the 50-meter backstroke. Finishing in first, Mette clocked a time of 33.69, McConnell clocked a time of 51.30 in fourth place, while Neupane clocked 53.11 in fifth place. 

Miller finished first in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:08.90.

Mette finished first place in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:13.77, while Neupane finished fifth with a time of 1:55.64.

Jordan and Puza finished in first and third place in the 400-meter freestyle with times of 5:30.27 and 6:06.29, respectively. 

Finch finished first in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of. 34.86, while Puza finished fifth, logging a time of 40.37.

In the 200-meter IM, Mette and Misra finished first and third with times of 2:52.21 and 3:03.75. 

The only Eagle to compete in the 50-meter breaststroke was Misra, who finished in second with a time of 42.26.

Jordan logged a time of 1:24.22, finishing in second place in the 100-meter butterfly.

Finch and Neupane both competed in the 50-meter freestyle, finishing in third and seventh place with times of 32.00 and 50.16, respectively. 

In the 100-meter breaststroke, Misra logged a 1:32.23 time in second place.

The women's swimming team competes next on November 17 at Misericordia.
