TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's swim team was selected sixth in this year's Landmark Conference preseason poll.
Last season the women finished seventh; their best finish since 2016. The Eagles return, senior Meghan Brubaker (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg) and junior Alex Fontes (Plymouth, Mass. / Sturgis) to lead the team. Juniata also returns sophomores, Gianna Canale (Egg Harbor City, N.J. / Cedar Creek High School), Tabi Dettelback (Martinsville, N.J. / Bridgewater Raritan), Cassie Sanidad (Silver Spring, Md. / Springbrook), and Kendra White (Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore Area Senior H.S.).
Three swimmers finished in the top-10 at Landmark Championships last season, Fontes took sixth place in the 200 butterfly, Sanidad finished 8th in the 200 breaststroke, and White finished 10th in the 1,650 freestyle.
