Women's Swimming Tabbed Sixth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's swim team was selected sixth in this year's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Last season the women finished seventh; their best finish since 2016. The Eagles return, senior Meghan Brubaker (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg) and junior Alex Fontes (Plymouth, Mass. / Sturgis) to lead the team. Juniata also returns sophomores, Gianna Canale (Egg Harbor City, N.J. / Cedar Creek High School), Tabi Dettelback (Martinsville, N.J. / Bridgewater Raritan), Cassie Sanidad (Silver Spring, Md. / Springbrook), and Kendra White (Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore Area Senior H.S.)

Three swimmers finished in the top-10 at Landmark Championships last season, Fontes took sixth place in the 200 butterfly, Sanidad finished 8th in the 200 breaststroke, and White finished 10th in the 1,650 freestyle.

Juniata kicks off their season October 25th as they compete in the Susquehanna relays.
