Dettelback Named Landmark Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's swimming standout, Tabi Dettelback (Martinsville, N.J. / Bridgewater Raritan) was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.

Over the weekend, Dettelback claimed four first place finishes, one second place finish and two third place finishes. On Friday, the Eagles defeated Penn St.-Altoona, 102-39. On Saturday, Juniata fell, 119-82 to DII Kutztown. 

Against the Lions, Dettelback and her 200 medley relay team claimed first place, clocking in at 2:02.72 yds. Dettelback split a 30.47 yds in the 50 backstroke within the relay. She then took first place in the 100 IM coming in with a time of 1:06.65 yds. Dettelback finished off the meet with a first place finish in the 100 backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:05.73 yds. 

Against the Bears, Dettelback and her 200 medley relay team finished third, coming in with a time of 2:15.56m. She split a 34.01m in the 50 backstroke within the relay. Dettelback took third in the 50 backstroke, clocking in at 33.90m. Dettelback clamined the top spot in the 100 back, coming in with a time of 1:13.58m. In Dettelback's final event, she took second in the 200 IM, coming in with a time of 2:52.91m. 

This is the first women's swimmer to be named Landmark Athlete of the Week since the 2013-14 season. 

The Eagles will travel to Elizabethtown on December 1st for a meet starting at 1:00PM.
