Juniata Takes Seventh at Landmark Championships

GERMANTOWN, Md. – The Juniata women's swim team finished 7th in the Landmark Championships after three days of competitive swimming.

Senior Tzvia Cahn (San Jose / Kehilia Jewish) finished 9th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.01. Cahn's time placed her on the Juniata all-time top-10 list for the event.  Cahn was followed by Elizabeth Hainsworth (Glade Spring / Patrick Henry) in 13th place, swimming a time of 57.43.

Caitlin McCann (Chevy Chase, Md. / Bethesda Chevy Chase) swam a time of 2:40.07 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in 11th place. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Eagles had a combined effort of Christine Whiteman (Delmont, Pa. / Franklin Regional), Francesca Ferguson (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS), Hainsworth, and Cahn to finish in 6th place with a time of 3:46.62.

Several in-season bests were recorded at the Landmarks and many Eagles cracked into the Juniata top-10 this season. 

The Eagles look to continue making positive strides as they look ahead to the 2016-17 season.
