Women's Swimming Earns 78 Points in Day One of Landmarks

GERMANTOWN, Md. – After day one of the Landmark Conference Championships, the Juniata women's swimming team sits in sixth place with 78 points.

Elizabeth Hainsworth (Glade Spring / Patrick Henry)  finished 12th in the 500 freestyle, with a time of 5:28.15.  She was followed by teammate Christine Whiteman (Delmont / Franklin Regional) in in 15th place.  Senior Sarah Rhodes (Bloomfield, NY / Bloomfield Central) finished 14th in the 200-yard IM, with a personal best of 2:21.63.

Tzvia Cahn (San Jose / Kehilia Jewish) finished 7th in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 25.16.  Freshman Jocelyn Skelly (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey High School) followed in 13th place with a time of 25.63.

The Eagles will return to action for day two of Landmark Championships Sat., Feb. 13.
