Head coach Nate Smith's Eagles hosted the visiting Nittany Lions of Penn State and the Mansfield Mountaineers in their first dual and home meet of the season. Juniata defeated Penn State by a score of 121 to 73, but fell to the Mounties 84-108.

Overall, Smith was pleased with where his team is at and how they've started the season, "We had a good meet today. We had some freshman really step up and already swim some lifetime best times, which or our first real dual meet of the season is real encouraging. We also had some upper classmen, like Tzvia Cahn (San Jose / Kehilia Jewish), who came in and swam their best times in the pool. Again, another encouraging sign in our first meet of the season. I was very happy with the results. A lot of good swims and a great place to start the season."

The Eagles will continue their season as they travel to Millersville on Saturday. The meet will begin at 1 pm.
