HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the second consecutive spring season the Juniata College women's swimming team earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Team Scholar All-America award. The honor is presented to teams that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester coinciding with the championship season.

"The award shows the dedication that the team has in the classroom," said head coach Nathan Smith. "To do that well, while having such a great swimming season at the same time, shows that they are really focused and ready to do work in all parts of their life."

Juniata finished the 2014 spring semester with a 3.31 team GPA while setting eight program records, two Landmark Conference records, claiming three league titles, and amassing the teams' highest points total at the Landmark championship meet. Juniata is one of five Landmark schools to earn this award.
