Juniata Falls at Loch Haven

LOCH HAVEN, Pa. – The Juniata women's swimming team fell to Loch Haven University 117.5 – 82.5 on the road Friday night in their first meet of the New Year.  The Eagles are now 5-5 in dual meets this season.

 

Four Eagles picked up individual wins.  Junior Hillary Palmer (Fayetteville, Ga./Fayette County) won the 200 IM in a time of 2:19.91.  Sophomores Meghan Swavely (Hummelstown, Pa./Palmyra) and Raegyn Taylor (Huntingdon, Pa./Home School) continued their success after the break.  Swavely won the 100 butterfly and Taylor took the 100 breaststroke.

 

Rounding out Eagles with wins was freshman Caitlin McCann (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase).  She won the 1,000 free in a time of 12:44.13, over six seconds faster than Loch Haven's Brittany Maguire.

 

Juniata returns home for its final meet in Binder Natatorium this season on Saturday, Jan. 19. The Eagles will face Landmark Conference rivals Drew University and Susquehanna University. Meet time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
