Juniata Falls 122-73 At Millersville, Taylor Wins Third Straight Race

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata women's swimming sophomore Raegyn Taylor (Huntingdon, Pa.) winning the 100 breast stroke for the third straight meet wasn't enough for the Eagles to come back on Millersville Saturday afternoon.  Juniata (1-2) fell 122-73 on the road at the Marauders.

The Eagles won two individual and one relay during their third meet of the season.  Taylor recorded her best 100 breast time of the year, finishing nine seconds ahead of sophomore Kim Proenca (Thorton, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) at 1:11.90.

Junior Hillary Palmer (Fayettevill, Ga./Fayette County) also set a new season-best mark when she won the 200 IM in 2:22.96.  It's the second time this season she has won the event.

Juniata went one-two in the 400 free relay.  The "A" team comprised of sophomore Meghan Swavely (Hummelstown, Pa./Palmyra) and freshmen Emily Nye (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg), Katie Douds (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and Chrissie Whiteman (Delmont, Pa./Franklin Regional) finished 11 seconds ahead of the "B" team at 3:54.93.

The Eagles head to Pittsburgh next to face Chatham University on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m.  They then return home for the tri-meet before hitting the road for the remainder of 2012.
