Juniata women’s swimming picked seventh in Landmark poll

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women’s swimming team was picked to finish seventh this season, in preseason voting among the league’s head women’s swimming & diving coaches and sports information directors. 

The Eagles finished seventh at the 2008 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, recording 74 points. Juniata returns three letterwinners from last year’s squad, with a host of previous swimmers from 2006-07 rejoining the roster. 

Headlining the returnees are senior Kristin Musselman (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) in freestyle; and juniors Paige Black (Altoona, Pa./Tyrone Area), Colleen Cribbs (Fort Washington, Md./Bishop McNamara) and Kelly Serfling (Frederick, Md./Urbana); in addition to Serfling, other returning letterwinners from last season are Rachel Gipe (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) and Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona ). 

Juniata’s season continues this Saturday, Nov. 1, when it faces Millersville University and Cabrini College in a tri-meet in Millersville, Pa.
