Bobcats Claw Past Eagles

Bobcats Claw Past Eagles

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team dropped a tight 1-0 decision to visiting University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Wednesday evening at Gibbel Stadium.

In the 32nd minute, Julia Lane made a fantastic save on a breakaway that prevented a sure Bobcat goal.

Six minutes later, a loose ball fell perfectly to a Bobcat at the top of the box, and they placed it into the right corner for the lone goal of the match.

The Eagles managed four shots in the second half, with the best opportunity being Amelia Yordy's shot from the right side of the box in the 72nd minute, but the Bobcat keeper stopped it.

Lane made a save in the first half while Avery Zales came in and made a save in the second half.

The Eagles will travel to Towson, Maryland to take on Goucher for a Landmark Conference matchup. Kickoff is at 3:30.
