After hitting the crossbar and post within 15 seconds of each other in the 41st minute, Brockport found the game's lone goal two minutes later, as a ball on the left edge of the 18-yard box was crossed on the ground to a player on the edge of the six-yard box, and it was poked past the Juniata keeper into the far post.

Juniata looked for an equalizer earlier in the second half with a shot on goal from Ashley McWilliams in the 53rd minute and a headed shot from Murray saved in the 55th minute. That wrapped up shooting chances for Juniata, with Brockport managing 12 more shots before the 90 minutes ended.
